Consultant
Description:
A consultant is required to work on public policy for global commodity issues. The work is challenging, of highly contemporary relevance, satisfying and demanding.
Initial responsibilities will include research, analysis and report writing, but the successful candidate will be groomed as a senior consultant and trained to design and manage projects and to work independently with clients.
The work environment is highly supportive, with consultants having access to coaching and guidance from ITS Global's Managing Consultant as well as other experienced senior consultants. This is a rare opportunity to gain specialized public policy experience.

Responsibilities
- Analyse and assess economic and policy implications of commodity developments;
- Advise on public policy implications of economic, environmental and sustainability policies;
- Prepare high quality analyses of developments and public policy recommendations.
Skills
- Capacity to research and analyse complex issues
- Understanding of public policy
- Capacity to write sophisticated reports
- Ability to organize own time
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Capacity to interact well with others and work collaboratively.
Educational qualifications and experience
Post-graduate studies in economics (preferably PhD level) specializing in analysis of commodities, preferably forest and timber products, and development of commodity policy.
Outstanding academic results essential.
Role specifics
This is a full time role.
Remuneration is commensurate with experience, approximate range between $75 - 85k (incl super).
